Upcoming system upgrade

We would like to let you know about an important change happening at Willow Medical Centre.

During the week of 24–28 August, we will be transitioning to a new computer system. This is a significant improvement for our practice and will help us provide better care and a more efficient service in the future.

To ensure our team is fully trained and able to make this transition safely, we will have fewer appointments available throughout the week, as all staff will be participating in training.

As a result, during this week you may experience:

  • Longer wait times for appointments.

  • Delays in returning phone calls and responding to emails.

  • Longer than usual waiting times at reception.

Following the transition week, our team will be working with the new system. While we have completed training, there will be a period of adjustment as we become more familiar and confident with the new programme. During this time, you may continue to experience slightly longer wait times and some delays while we learn and adapt to the new way of working.

We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate your patience, kindness, and understanding during this transition. Your support will help our team focus on implementing the new system successfully so we can continue to provide the best possible care for our community.

If your health concern is not urgent, we encourage you to plan ahead where possible. If you require urgent medical attention, please let our reception team know so we can ensure you receive the care you need.

Thank you for your ongoing support as we make this important investment in improving our services.

Thank you,
The Team at Willow Medical Centre
